A complete tour of the island is the trip every camper van enthusiast dreams of. From Catania heading south — Syracuse, Noto, Agrigento — then heading westwards through the sunset-coloured salt pans of Trapani, Marsala, and Selinunte with its temples perched on the cliffs.
Palermo, Europe’s most Arab capital, with the Ballarò markets and the Palatine Chapel. Cefalù with its Norman cathedral and turquoise sea. And finally, the return journey along the north coast, with Mount Etna reappearing on the horizon. Two weeks, two coastlines, two thousand years of history. In a campervan, every stop is also a home.
