Insurance Cover
All Noa Wander vehicles are covered by an insurance policy from HDI Assicurazioni S.p.A. — the ‘Mio Camper’ product (Form A3064, Ed. 01/2026) — one of the most financially sound insurance companies on the Italian market.
You can choose the level of cover that best suits your trip when you book. The higher the level, the lower your financial risk in the event of a claim — and the lower the security deposit required.
What is always included in all levels
Regardless of the level you choose, every Noa Wander hire package includes:
Motor Third-Party Liability Insurance (RC Auto) Covers damage unintentionally caused to third parties whilst the vehicle is on the road, with a maximum cover of €25,000,000 per claim. The cover is provided on an ‘open driver’ basis: it applies to anyone driving the vehicle, provided they are named in the policy and hold a valid driving licence.
Motorhome Owner’s Third-Party Liability Cover covers damage caused to third parties in the course of private life relating to the use of the motorhome — including accessories, awnings, equipment and activities whilst parked — with a maximum cover of €1,000,000.
Fire Cover: Covers total or partial damage to the vehicle in the event of fire, lightning, explosion or blast. No excess payable by the customer.
Legal Protection Covers legal costs in the event of disputes relating to motoring or personal matters whilst travelling, up to €15,000.

The three levels of cover
Basic package — included in the hire price
The entry-level cover. This covers compulsory cover and the main risks. In the event of theft, comprehensive cover or special incidents, the customer is liable for an excess of up to €2,000, corresponding to the amount of the security deposit required.

Plus — +€15 per day
The most popular level. It halves your liability in the event of a claim and includes the most useful cover for day-to-day life: windscreen breakage and breakdown assistance.

Premium — +€30 per day
The most comprehensive cover. A minimum excess, an excess reduced to almost zero, and personal protection for the driver in the event of a serious accident.

How the security deposit works
A deposit is pre-authorised on your credit card at the time of collection — it is not charged, but temporarily held. Provided there is no damage, it will be released within 20 days of the vehicle being returned.
In the event of a claim, your maximum contribution will never exceed the amount of the deposit paid, regardless of the extent of the damage — provided that the contractual obligations have been met (prompt reporting, completion of the CAI form, and notification to Noa Wander within 24 hours).
What is not covered by the insurance
Damage caused by the following is not covered under any level of cover:
- driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- driving by persons not named in the contract
- off-road driving or driving on roads unsuitable for motorhomes
- taking part in sporting events or competitions
- wilful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the driver
- failure to report the claim within the time limits and in the manner specified in the contract
In such cases, the customer is directly and fully liable for all damages, regardless of the level of cover chosen.
What to do in the event of an accident

- Fill in the CAI form with the other party’s details
- Call the police if there are any injuries or significant damage
- Please send a written report to info@noawander.com within 24 hours
- Do not admit liability or enter into agreements with the other party without authorisation
Failure to comply with these obligations may result in the loss of insurance cover and the full cost of the damage being charged to you.
